Very happy with the quality,

For its purpose, this is a very comfortable chair. The seat gives just the right amount for comfort. We are using ours in the sitting/reading area of the master bedroom. My husband likes to sit and read at night. He is 6’1″ and finds it comfortable to sit in this chair, which was a surprise because this chair’s seat is close to the floor. Although, he’s all legs in this chair, he says he’s comfortable. We also like to sit on it to put our shoes on in the mornings.

Although this is bonded leather, you cannot tell any difference from the designer leather varieties at the furniture store that go for double the price of this one. This looks very high quality and so far has worn like high quality. I will update if I have any problems in the future.

I would say the color is darker than pictured. I would call it a dark, rich brown. The chair definitely has a contemporary design to it and I wouldn’t recommend it for anything other than contemporary decor.

As for delivery, this came by the former Eagle Shipping, which is now called Ceva. They called the day before to make sure I’d be home and then they called again when they were 30 min. from my home to let me know they were almost here. The chair was well-wrapped with foam and plastic and then boxed. The delivery men were kind enough to remove the outer box for me, so it could be moved in through the front door.

I can see myself purchasing Pinzon furniture in the future because we are so pleased and pleasantly surprised with the quality of this piece.

Finally a spacious one seater that could be placed anywhere and match many varient shades of wood tones! This Pinzon chair sports a dark chocolate color in a non-chunky smooth shape. It just adds the right amount of character with its perfectly blended and subtle aged wrinkles. It’s seat is semi-firm. The cushions are not removable, nonetheless, it is effortless to wipe down and maintain. And although it looks like there may be a high back to it – there is not. It is mid to low back in height when sitting. The feel of the fabric is smooth and looks tough(will hold up to kids). I love that it is very stylish and appeals to my husband’s taste(hard to do). We put this in his study/ music room and I have to say, it made the room very modern and inviting. I am absolutely thrilled it is now part of our collection!

I ordered this chair on Thursday and was surprised that the freight company called Friday morning to let me know it would be delivered Monday, Dec. 22. The chair arrived, well wrapped and padded and undamaged on Monday.

The chair is made of “bonded leather”. I had no idea what that was and didn’t know what to expect in terms of quality, but was pleasantly surprised. According to Wikipedia, bonded leather is “an artificial material composed of 80% to 100% leather fibers (often waste scraps from leather tanneries or leather workshops). It consists of collagen fibers obtained from macerated hide pieces bonded together with latex binders constructed into a fibrous mat to create a look and feel similar or sometimes identical to that of genuine leather but at a fraction of the cost. Depending on the quality a man-made pattern is usually discernible as a “grain-like” look.” The Pinzon Lombardy Club Chair really does have the feel and grain of real leather and is constructed on a sturdy hardwood frame. The cushioning is dense and it is extremely comfortable to sit in.

The dimensions of the chair are not big (31X30X31) but it is comfortable seating for my mid-sized husband and doesn’t feel too big for me. You should know that the color of this Pinzon chair, Chocolate, is in reality darker than pictured on this page — it is a deeper, richer brown and has the “grained” look of real leather. The chair can be spot cleaned and the cushions are not removable. We put it in my husband’s den.

Excellent value,

Received our chair today and it is just beautiful. It was delivered quickly and we were able to track it as it came Fed X. You do have to assemble it but it is not difficult. Make sure you read the directions carefully. We made a small error ( our fault) but were able to correct it. The chair is sturdy, a nice weight, comfortable and very attractive. Very pleased with the purchase and quick delivery.

I don’t own the chair, but have a friend who does and I love it. I was looking to buy it, but wanted to clarify that this does not include the ottoman and when it reclines it doesn’t have a foot rest.

I love the look of my chair and coordinating ottoman! It is not, however, the most comfortable thing to sit in….not so good for relaxing. It is very very firm.

Nice Chairs,

We received these chairs yesterday. They were purchased for my husband’s office. They seem to be good quality. The black leather is OK, but not as I had hoped. They have a nice size seat and are comfortable to sit in. Please note that these chairs arrive unassembled. They are extremely well packed. It took my husband a while to unpack all the boxes in boxes. He said assembly was not hard. I would recommend these chairs. Good quality at a reasonable price.

Wonderful chair! (Padma Plantation Chair),

I bought this chair when it turned up in the Gold Box one weekend day at roughly less than half its current price.

I hoped beyond hope that I would not regret the purchase. Happily, I can say without any hesitation that I am absolutely thrilled to have this chair. It’s, by far, my favorite “adult” purchase of furniture, bar none. It doesn’t hurt that it matches/complements another Gold Box purchase from several months before…a double ottoman with two smaller ottomans inside. That piece has been a lifesaver for storage and comfort and the chair really pulls things all together.

Did I mention that it’s very comfortable? It is. It is also sturdy, yet lightweight.

I’m amazed I found it in the Gold Box. And I still allow it to catch my eye every time I walk into my living room.

Perfect Size!

I have two of these chairs and one love seat. They are the perfect size for small living rooms. I have a dinning room/ living room combo and the regular size furniture that sells on most furniture store would not fit in my space. This is like a smaller version of those very pricey furniture you see out there. The leather fills expensive, the seats are a little on the hard side, but I think that is perfect for my taste.
