Cabcool 802 Lite 5v Dual 80mm Fan Cooling Kit for Cabinet andamp; Home Theaters This “Lite” version of our Cabcool cooling kits is a great selection if you just want a no nonsense easy to install kit to keep your stuff cool. We paired our silent 5 volt fans with a wall wart style 2 prong ac adapter so you can power it from a standard wall socket or any entertainment device that has an outlet. Also available in a single 120mm and single 80mm versions A very quiet 5 volt stand alone system, perfect to go on when your AV amplifier goes on, or just run all the time. The assembly was a snap and it installed in about 20 minutes. I tried the fans before I cut the opening and was shocked that I couldn’t even hear them running 10 inches from me! They work great.
i had a great amount of heat generated by my Onkyo SR606 my theater room isn’t air conditioned so after 2 hours of use the receiver case was hot to the touch..
Well i purchased and installed this cooler and now my receiver is as cool as ever.
My receiver does not have an external plug so i have to unplug the fan when not in use, i wish cooler guys had an external on/off switch.
Apart from this its a great product
After upgrading my receiver many months ago I learned that it was getting a little too hot and was faced with upgrading the entire entertainment center that held everything together. Then I found this and liked the reviews.
There are a few parts to assemble, but that’s the worst part. The entire unit is very lightweight. I plugged it in, hung it from the back of my cabinet to blow air across the top and sides. My receiver is running cool now and the fans are absolutely silent in my opinion. They are mounted on the back side and with the DVR and stuff running I can’t even detect they are spinning. I leave it on 24×7.
Would definitely buy another one if needed to cool a cramped space.
